When you see me, accept me whole as I am, do not denounce any part of me.When I stand in front of a camera - full of strength and grace – see me as I am, a Black, African, Queer, Fat & Femme. I am and continue to be someone who respects everyone and expects it, but my reality is the opposite. I must learn to define myself before anyone does, which has forced me to confront myself and raise my aspirations. My blackness is aspirational. I am the change I want to see in this world. I continue to strive for radical self-acceptance. I want the same for those who are underrepresented and marginalised Black Trans, Queer, Disabled people. My challenge for everyone is to do the same, to live freely and unapologetically. Walk in the path of boldness and allyship, know that by using your privilege in any capacity, it will positively affect changes in our community.
