The work emerged from reflections on memory and its interaction with time — how even the most vivid memories gradually fade, dissolving into generalized images, sensations, and states. I began to wonder: how can this feeling be visualized? This led to the idea of using archival photographs and transferring them onto gauze through cyanotyping. Gauze, being fragile and unstable, doesn’t allow for detailed images, which perfectly conveys the ephemeral nature of memory. The resulting ghostly images echo the way our recollections of meaningful places and experiences blur and fade over time.
