The FLORA PERPÉTUA series carries, in its visuality, the fusion of the traditional aesthetics present in Still Life paintings from centuries past with the imperfect visual aspect of Glitch Art that has emerged in our contemporary world from new communication technologies.
As in the painting, the images feature both seasonal flowers and flowers of an exotic and artificial nature, captured through photographs of floral arrangements scattered throughout the city.
A visual work that seeks to build bridges between the past and the future to enable timeless dialogues through images, incorporating a fragmented visuality that already inhabits our daily lives of multiple visual stimuli, in order to address concepts of fragility, vulnerability and artificiality so present in our current social life, in addition to touching on our need to appropriate certain intangible beauties to fill our fleeting lives.
