Amazon - The Green' s End

In each immersion in the Amazon — among rivers, leaves, and birdsong — I felt both enchantment and unease. I returned not only with images, but with a growing anguish over the violence inflicted on this vast, vital forest.

The series Amazon – The Green’s End was born from that discomfort. I used an infrared camera, which erases green — the color of life — and replaces it with pinks, whites, and reds. This is more than a technique; it’s a visual metaphor for the forest’s disappearance.

The absence of green becomes a silent warning. This forest, rich in culture and biodiversity, is losing not only its color but its soul. Photography, for me, is not just about recording — it’s about revealing. Infrared allows me to explore a dreamlike Amazon, suspended between presence and absence.

These images are not exact portraits, but visions of what the forest is becoming. Their beauty carries a paradox — one of wonder and alarm. Amazon – The Green’s End is a call to look closer, feel deeper, and act before it’s too late.
