CURVES – Shaped by Water

CURVES is a series of underwater portraits created without any digital manipulation. Each photograph is captured through the moving surface of water, which physically deforms human face and body. The result is not a distortion added in post-production, but a real, tangible effect caused by the medium itself.

This process becomes a metaphor for identity in the modern world — how our sense of self is constantly shaped, bent, or even broken by external pressures. By surrendering control to the water’s movement, the photographer allows chance and natural forces to co-create the final image.

The series stands as a visual resistance to the culture of perfection. In CURVES, imperfection is not corrected — it is embraced, celebrated, and transformed into a new kind of beauty.
