In search of content

The project emerged as a result of a long process of self-exploration through self-portraiture. It is a deconstruction of the self-portrait. I dismantle the image to understand what it’s made of. I try to reach its essence, but instead of revelation, I encounter fragmentation. Where a “true self” was supposed to be, I find reflections, external gazes, cultural codes, roles, and expectations.

The self is neither whole nor fixed. It is a shifting, multilayered construction assembled from both foreign and personal projections. Each time I try to reassemble it, a new version appears.

The whole is not the sum of its parts. A face composed of fragments is not me. It only points to a constant displacement, a lack of stable center.

I explore form — light, glass, reflection, blur — as a way to approach content.

This series is like a construction set without instructions. Each assembly turns out differently. There is no unified identity — only one assembled in a given moment.

There is no true face. There are only ways of looking and showing.
