Liminal spaces

The Bolshezemelskaya tundra, stretching beyond the Arctic Circle, is a unique example of liminal spaces. Here begins the transition from the familiar to a silent and mysterious world. These spaces are not just geographic territories; they embody transitional states where nature and humans clash in harsh conditions of existence. In the past century, these places were inhabited only by prisoners, now they host small mining towns with a small population.
