Chianti is a land famous mainly for its wine, for well-being and for the investment possibilities in a “gentle” and “wild” countryside that contrasts with the frenzy of the contemporary world. Nowadays these lands are inhabited by a native people in balance with those who have decided to “colonize” this area in search of fortune. During adolescence, the separation of my parents and the subsequent move forced me to move away from the Chiantishire where I grew up, from the landscapes, from the neighborhood, seeing the possibility of living and maturing within this world disappear. A thread that got lost and that created a tear in me, a profound sense of not belonging. "La Ripa" represents a journey through those realities made up of people, places and atmospheres, but also an intimate mending. In the contradiction of a modern fairy tale that smells of the American dream, of my childhood, in that complexity that for me smells of roots, in those Tuscan hills, perhaps I find the space to ask myself: “Where do I fit in ?”
