We live in a time where, in many regions of our world, women must justify their existence. Yet, it is they who bear the pain, who initiate life, and stand behind every one of us. Everything that each of us can do is based on the foundation laid by women. Women, who today too often stand in the shadows.

The photo series 'Shadows' underscores this. It portrays everyday situations. People climbing a mountain, getting married, having climbed a mountain, working the fields, or engaging in sports. The photos are kept dark but are taken on the bodies of women.
