Living in a generation reliant on technology and comparison - unconsciously - influences the way we live our lives today. When achievements seem to be the key to succes, will we still have time to develop ourselves? Will we still have our own identity or is it purely based on perfomance? Though being in your twenties today allows more freedom and opportunity than in past generations, there is also more pressure to succeed due to the prevalence of social media. Social media can be a blessing and a curse—it allows people to share information more quickly, and compare themselves to others more easily. This leads to increased pressure to succeed and be perfect. As a young adult, I have felt the weight of expectations, judgment, and comparison. Our lives are filled with convenience, but it also can present us with difficult choices.
