After an unexpected meeting in 2011 and with the help of a friend, I was able to gain trust of a very close group of East coast american Gang called SSM (Sex, Money & Murda). During some weeks I could follow and document days and nights of some members of this very closed ethnocentric gang in Miami city & Suberbs. Gangsta culture used to be a harsh world which glorifies easy money, defiance against authorities and brutal unbridled flirting, very far away from the conformist codes of modern society that we know. Whether it was a youth unconsciousness or a reckless mistake, I jumped on this adventure at the time without hesitation and without really measuring the risk involved in undertaking such a delicate project. Many years later and after a long and painful process of selection of the best images and for better storytelling, I have set up in this book an immersive twenty-four-hour narrative inspired by the Oscar-winning movie Training Day’s scenario, which begins during the day and ends the following night same as the masterpiece feature film.
